Since Yin posted about her run in with a shiny, I decided to show off share my shiny catches with you guys, since I realized that anyone who isn't on my tumblr is pretty much in the dark about the stuff I get up to on my game. SO IN SHORT, I managed to get three shinies since I started o/

I got Belzelga when I was breeding Nidorans for my regular playthrough, I got Rhodes when I was running around in Petty's Friend Safari looking for breed chain materials

AND THEN THERE'S KALI.

I was running around all day trying to get a reckless starly to breed. I got one after like 6/7 hours by combing the rare as hell starly hordes, went to start breeding for IVs, and then managed to get a starly with perfect IVs in everything except sp.atk. I decided to go and breed a bunch more starly to give away to other people since I had gone through so much trouble to get an adamant reckless starly, and then out of bloody nowhere, one of them was shiny. I checked Kali's stats and it ended up having perfect IVs as well, on top of being reckless. I just thought it was fitting to name this thing after the freakin goddess of destruction, since that is pretty much reflective of its future.

i also find it super fortunate that the shinies i got ended up being pokemon i really liked anyway
