Part of a series on skulls and skeletons.

I've always been fascinated by skulls, and bones in general. Despite their representation as images of decay and death, their cold demeanor, the warmth of their colors always seemed rather contrary to that coldness. From ivory and white in fresher specimens, to patinaed and browned or even blackened by time and the elements, they've always intrigued me.
