Hola! Boy, it's been awhile since I've done one of these! *Cracks knuckles*

So, those of you that reach Archie's Sonic the Hedgehog comic will recognize this character if you've kept up with the story arcs as of late! This is Shard, the original Metal Sonic, in his new and shiny body! And boy, did I fall in love with him!

So much so, that I've included him in my own little universe of madness. While this is still the Shard we all know and love, in my setting, he had a slightly different upbringing. Shard, also known as The Prototype, is...well, the prototype of the infamous Metal Sonic. However, because of issues with a stable power source, he was scrapped, and replaced with our favorite metal double. However, after years of being nothing more than a memory in a blueprint, he was rebuilt by Metal Sonic using a Power Gem as an energy source.

Because he has come into the world rather recently, he is still fleshing out his personality that he uses around people. Much to the chagrin of his "master", he has adopted a snarky, confident attitude that tends to remind those around him of a certain blue hedgehog. However, because of his "youth", he is quite naive, knowing little of the workings of the world despite the massive amounts of information at his fingertips. As such, he is often quite literal minded and can have difficulties understanding the lifestyle of "organics".

This is Shard simply watching the sunset, slowly learning to appreciate its beauty.
