Description Hellah, people of all kinds! As usual, with each chapter, I follow up with the enemies from said chapter, so here we go; Chapter 8's enemies!

Plasmarha Lake Enemies:

Pyrofly: At this point, I'm honestly getting tired of telling the same joke about these fly enemies (or pets as I like to imagine), so let's just go with, they are Pyroflies, they can fly, they can burn, HP is 13, ATK is 11, DEF is 0... and they're still adorable...

Plasmiranha: Here we have a Plasmiranha; surprisingly, these piranhas in a lake aren't actually swimming... then again, it's really not surprising in a world where piranhas are never actually fish... HP is 15, ATK is 12, DEF is 0, they can set their selves on fire, thus increasing their ATK by 3, and of course you won't be able to jump on it either... BUT you knew that already.

Octoplasma: This is an Octopus... no wait, OctoPLASMA... (get used to hearing that word Plasma by the way). HP is 16, ATK is 12, DEF is 1, They're difficult to attack directly, because the heat from their body (for the first few turns at least), means you'll damage from attacking them instead. However, if you can successfully block their attacks, then their projectiles will be backfired towards them, so eh... STRATEGY!

Bowser's Plasma Castle Enemies:

Sumo Bro.: It seems we have encountered a Sumo Bro.. These chubby Koopa minions (who could use a diet, but then again, they'd be pretty generic without their chubbiness...) have a HP of 12, ATK of 12, and DEF of 3, however, they can also increase their ATK power as well as being able to earth-quake stun you for 2 turns! ...oh and don't worry, you can jump on these spikes... because eh... reasons!

Koopatrol: Here come the Koopatrol! Yes that's right, Bowser's generic knight minions are here to... eh, follow orders because they have no other choice? HP is 14, ATK is 14, DEF is 2, they can call in more Koopatrol as reinforcements and eh, watch out their super shell attack thing which takes a turn to charge up (we're talking +4 ATK!)... Oh, and THEY'RE SPIKED!

Hammer Bro.: Hey bro! (never saying that again...) Hammer bros. that is of course! (With non-snail-like shells for a change) HP is 16, ATK is 13, DEF is 1, they can either throw their hammers at you in individual throws or they can shower you with a storm of them (good luck blocking all of them), and while jumping won't quite knock them over, there is other ways of doing it...

Magikoopa: It's a Magikoopa! Their HP is 15, ATK is 14, DEF is 0, while their stats are nothing special, what they can do with them is what makes them... more special? They can recover their own/other enemies HP, raise their ATK and DEF, and other things like electrifying them, making them invisible or making them dodgy for a few turns.

 Plasma Temple Enemies:

Prominsphere: Ooh a Prominsphere! Turning up the heat are we (okay, my jokes are literally getting worse aren't they?) These balls of Prominence (if anyone even knows what that is) have a HP of 16, ATK of 13, and DEF of 0. They can't be jumped on, but they can't be hammered or attacked from the side either, because if you do, their prominence will just counter you and burn your sorry butt. But wait! THERE'S MORE! they can also create mini blue stars called Cyanspheres, which will be destroyed in 1 attack, but if you don't deal with them quickly, they won't just heal the Prominsphere: it'll permanently raise it's HP to a higher level!

Coronio: This is a Coronio, and what you could also call a "Sun-Mage". HP is 17, ATK is 15, DEF is 0, similar to the Magikoopas from earlier, they can raise stats, give status effects and other things like freezing time etc... but even out of battle, you are not safe either, as they will actually follow you into other rooms until you battle them (much like a certain enemy from the previous chapter), however, they ARE actually required to be used outside of battle in order to solve puzzles... yep.

Suntry: What now? WHOA! WHAT THE F-LAMIN'... FIRE? Ah, it's a Suntry... kinda like a Sentry of the Sun? These fire powers sun mechanisms were built in defence of the Plasma Temple and the Sun goddess Plasmarha. HP is 20! ATK is 18, DEF is 3! Yes, they are a pain in the backside to take down, especially when they can additionally burn you with their attacks, cannot be jumped on, and can attack multiple targets at once! Darn! You know it's serious stuff when it's 3D!!!!!

That's all folks! What do you think of Chapter 8's enemies? Which is/are your favourite(s)? Ta-tah!

To be truely honest I am also tired to almost always post the very same things.
And thus I will not talk about Pyrofly awesome adorableness.   You see, I am not talkin' about it.

Beside it I love the Plasmiranha's design : this gorgeous fire petals are a brillant idea.
Prominsphere is pretty lovely, its eyes are enchanting.
And speaking about it, a prominence is a :
"tongue-like eruption of bright and incandescent gas from Sun's surface into the solar corona" (happy Norahl, somebody knows).

Yeah, the fly enemies are getting pretty old at this point, but thankfully Pyrofly is the last you'll be seeing of them ^^ (and wow you just literally talked about them XD)

Thanks, haha, you literally just looked that up didn't you? XD But yeah, that's what Prominence is

If I properly remember my high school lesson, it is called preterition. To talk about somethings, while saying we will not talk about it.
Concerning prominence, I knew the solar eruption phenomenon. It is just that I didn't know it was the accurate English term for it.

Those are pretty good, although have you thought about digitizing them? And I do like the Suntry, but it seems more like something out of Super Mario RPG than Paper Mario (Despite Paper Mario being the spiritual sequel to Super Mario RPG).

Thanks! Em, do you mean like, digital art? I did try once, but it's really not my thing; I guess drawing traditionally is more my strongpoint
Hehe, I can totally see what you mean; Super Mario RPG did have quite a lot of weirdly large enemies (Like that giant volcano turtle thing XD), it was kind of a last minute idea where I just thought "yeah, let's try that..." Haha

Well, I was just mainly talking about how its designed. But I do wonder if it'll work somehow like General Guy's, uh, thing. Also, I may be able to try to do Paper Mario style, but not now.

Well, also the angle I've drawn it at may also be why due to that games Asymmetric Camera ^^ Erm, well gameplay wise, the description given is all there really is to it, it's not necessarily a miniboss by any means

Ah, I suppose "practise" may be the only solution (for both of us), I have been trying to use Photoshop over my hand-drawn work to experiment and stuff; I'm hoping to combine the 2 somehow to give it a more papery look, but still having it hand-drawn

Ah. Yeah, very true, but you forgot about The Thousand Year Door's enemy encyclopedia or whatever it was called that was off the battle, where once tattled, it will give you all you need about the enemy without going jokes. But hey, it's literal Paper Mario so far.

Encyclopaedia? You mean Goombellas tattle? Haha, she did tell jokes sometimes (or have I just misread/misunderstood what you said? ) XD

Cheeyev In reply to ProtoTypedKnife [2014-12-28 23:22:28 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, that's what I was saying. If you tattle an enemy in battle, she does something similar to what you said for the enemies discription, but the thing outside of battle is more accurate to what it does and whatnot.

ProtoTypedKnife In reply to Cheeyev [2014-12-28 23:35:17 +0000 UTC]

Ah yes, that's because the descriptions I've given ARE my games equivalents of her tattles, but rather than Goombella, they're done by Norahl. But, what do you mean by it being more like the outside of battle tattles? You never get the stats or info about enemies outside the battle, you'll only get a hint about the next puzzle or some trivia about the are or something like that (or have I misunderstood THIS TIME? XP)

Cheeyev In reply to ProtoTypedKnife [2014-12-28 23:38:14 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, that's what I'm trying to say, but the last time I checked there, I thought it also shown the stats and some infomation on what it does. That was only in the Thousand Year Door and not in the original.

ProtoTypedKnife In reply to Cheeyev [2014-12-28 23:45:45 +0000 UTC]

Oh, I suppose I wouldn't really know to be honest, since I pretty much never actually used tattle outside of battle haha

Cheeyev In reply to ProtoTypedKnife [2014-12-28 23:48:08 +0000 UTC]

Well, you can't use tattle outside of battle.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ProtoTypedKnife In reply to Cheeyev [2014-12-28 23:54:35 +0000 UTC]

Well, it's a similar thing outside of battle, only there's nothing that literally refers to it as "tattle" I suppose

Yeah, true.
