"A strange visitor came to my laboratory today. A gray-coated stallion with no hair on his mane or tail and wearing a strange garb walked in during a crucial part of my experiment, and simply stood there, watching. His expression changed only when I approached him to ask him if he needed something. He looked taken aback and left muttering something about making a terrible mistake. I returned to my latest experiment to find it yet another failure. No surprise there. I'm starting to doubt that I will master artificial alicornification in my lifetime. All the spell seems to accomplish so far is to somehow alter the cutie marks of the subjects. Most frustrating! Celestia's unscientific theories about harnessing the power of "friendship" and "harmony" aren't helping either. This is a conundrum that must be solved logically! I will continue to strive for a future where magic and intellect reign over sentiment and superstition, and such frivolous emotions no longer cloud ponies' judgements. Such an enlightened world would be a true utopia for all."

I'm a big fan of Fringe. Apparently so is either Katie Cook or Andy Price, or possibly both. The observer pony has left his mark on the comics, the Equestria Girls comic took the Fringe jokes up a notch and the current story arc is is an unabashed loveletter to Fringe and alternate universe fiction in general. I'm as happy as a Gummy on a turkey farm! But it really is too bad the observer (and the comic in general) doesn't get a lot of fanart. So I'll do my part to spread the gospel. Keep being awesome, guys!
