This gets added to favorites simply by virtue of Megatron. ^_^

The intricate mechanical design you used here is simply the best I've seen on Deviant Art. Getting him to look so much like G1 Megatron while still making him a tank, unlike the official G2 Tank Megatron, earns you the place as the best damn Transformers artist on DA in my mind.

... Simply by virtue of Megatron. ^_^

While I have been following your amazing work for quite some time, I believe that this is the first time I have actually invested the effort to post a review; this is simply brilliant ! You have excelled yourself this time, that's for sure. I am a huge fan of your custom Transformers movie concepts, and this one is quite spectacular, in my humble opinion. Your previous two attempts at re-envisioning this character ([link] & [link] respectively) were great, to be sure, but this is the creme of the proverbial crop, no doubts about it!

I love the draftsman-like approach you take to your artwork, with its precise lines and machined mastery of perspective. The colours are gentle in their application, apearing as if rendered in design marker - a very appealing finish. It is quite a striking technique and style that you have! In this particular example, you've done well to update the design of Megatron into a new, 'real world' vehicle form (an M1 Abrams, if I'm not mistaken?), while retaining all the familiar elements that go into making the classic depiction of this infamous character. Studying your design, one is reminded of the Generation 2 incarnation of the Decepticon leader, while there is a flavour of the less successful Armada interpretation evident also. The best asset of your work is the fact that, upon deeper study, one can actually recognize how your creations would concievably reconfigure themselves from hulking robot to presented vehicle instance - a fabulous achievement, and a credit to your planning and attention to detail.

I could go on, but I'll refrain from taking up too much space. This is a great illustration, and one you should be feeling very please with. I am in awe of your obvious talent, and I sincerely look forward to seeing what masterpiece you will come up with next. Great work!

*Quoting G2 purple/black Megatron*

"MEGATRON RULES!!!"

Sweet! Although I prefer a less silverish and a more desert/tan-like finish.

Okay, I love the idea of a Tank Megs now, as long as he ends up with that colour scheme and not the G2/Armada green and purple one...
