:Enter The GridA revamp of my old character. No, I am not returning to dA (too many things going on to deal with some things); however, I am inclined to rp with my friends because I love them to bits. Cal and n00ds, ilu guys <3.

Class: FIREWALL
Personality: Aggressive, Blunt, Assertive, Hard-ass, Argumentative, UNGIRLY-DOWNRIGHT-BUTCHY-YET-NOT-A-LESBIAN, and Rash. PISS HER OFF AND TEETH MAY FLY- DON'T STEAL HER BOOZE. Mellow, Observant, and Cynical. While till being a little bit blunt, she tends to keep to herself nowadays.

History:
While not a very old Firewall, PROXY has had her fair share of run-ins with viruses on the job. She does not recall what her programmed life used to be before she was converted into a Proxy Server, used as security mostly. She has an ability to speed up some processes thanks to her proxy attributes (caching) and she can bypass a lot of security / parental controls. Originally she was placed under Dante and Symn as third-in-command of the Firewalls, her job being to train the new recruits or assist Symn in any mission or rounds. She does not get along with Coal, and still doesnβt, due to their clashing natures. However, several cycles have passed where Proxy went missing, presumed derezzed or Virus chow. Recently she returned; underweight, scarred, and missing an arm after a brutal attack by a rather rabid virus (maleware) bit her arm, trying to infect her. She was forced to remove her own arm, the limb being replaced by a mechanical one that she has yet to grow used to. While she had once been quick to jump and was very reckless, she has now mellowed out and understand that there are worse things beyond the GRID that pale in comparison to Coalβs tyranny. Now she works along-side Noah as second-in-command to Symn.

A proxy server has a large variety of potential purposes, including:
- To keep machines behind it anonymous (mainly for security).
- To speed up access to resources (using caching). Web proxies are commonly used to cache web pages from a web server.
- To apply access policy to network services or content, e.g. to block undesired sites.
- To log / audit usage, i.e. to provide company employee Internet usage reporting.
- To bypass security/ parental controls.
- To scan transmitted content for malware before delivery.
- To scan outbound content, e.g., for data leak protection.
- To circumvent regional restrictions.
