Yes, is really hard to see him as evil, blind sighted by ambition and greedy yes, but not evil. And more between his clothes changes to the pimp suit to his reaction to the last tree falling there are just 4:30 minutes more or less---Seriously is hard to take a character a bad guy when until that four minutes he has been sympathetic and identifiable.
