Great artistic improvement after just 1 year. Better shading and shine, greater design detail, and to me a more elegant and beautiful form. There is some appeal in the old style, but overall you've come along nicely with your art.

eyy you learned to use Ahri's real eyecolor! blue ones isn't her style tbh, don't get why so many people draw her with blue.. I also think NONE of her skins have blue eyes xD

2015 - face is better (sexy "anime gel" hair, natural color lips, bigger eyes, she seems younger)
2016 - body/clothes are better (better colors/shading/proportions) ^^

At the first glance, I like the 2015 version better than the 2016 one, but after taking a closer look, I can see that the detailing is more refined in the 2016 pic. The high-lighting and single wisps of her hair, the details on her skin (moles, collarbones), the difference in the separate fabric layers and materials...
However, the 2015 version still looks like she has more character to her than in the 2016's version. Maybe it has something to do with the expression and/or her position?
I am not professional when it comes to art by any means, but I think the odd thing about her position in the 2016's pic right now is that she appears to not be sure of what she is doing. Her both hands are adjusted very openly, so she is definitely showing off something, but you cannot be quite sure, if she is showing off the magic on her other hand, or her body (open outfit and her other hand wiping her hair to the back). If you imagine her both hands were behind her back, wiping off her hair, or if she had her both hands down, showing off her magic, the pic might look a little bit more composed?
But then again, I am not an expert here, and cannot even draw a decent stick-figure, so I don't really know anything about anything!
