This is a really amazing image of a very beautiful woman, but what jumped out at me was the message it conveys. It's not often that an artwork "speaks" to one, but this 1 does. Her pose with the vulnerability and poise and dignity at the same time suggests that she has started to believe she is more than just her physical beauty, like she is saying (without any conceit) "I have value and substance, I'm a great catch in every way." (Or maybe I'm reading too much into it lol)

Olga, I was looking this amazing portrait of Heilog you did, and then I began to wonder how do you do a portrait that expresses so much without the need of showing the rest of the body or even the hands or a complex angle? I mean is there some technique to draw close up portraits like this one? ^_^

I'm just thinking about the emotion I want to convey. A face performs well a function. The light emphasizes the face. I paint intuitively. Perhaps there is a secret way to make great art, but I don't know it)
