Description Behold, Lyra "Big Pimpin" Heartstrings reimagined as a filly. I had some hair left from working on the Fashion Style version that I didn't want to waste, so when I got ahold of a spare Sweetie Belle I knew what had to be done.

She is painted with acrylics and sealed with Mod Podge (the brush-on kind, then a topcoat of the spray acrylic sealer), and rehaired in DollyHair's Daiquiri Ice and Snowflake. Her mane has been thatched along the part to cover that one bald strip between the hairplugs.

She is now SOLD!

cool. I'm in the middle of making screwball, but the paint doesn't cover evenly for me (I don't have an airbrush) so I just lose all drive to finish. I'm a complete perfectionist and I am TERRIBLE with crafts.

Pfft, an airbrush is just a luxury. What I do is thin my paint down with water, then brush it over the pony in long flowy strokes. I always do at least 3 or 4 thin coats, and you can tighten up the strokes by going over the edges with other strokes. It's kind of like painting nails!

I should post a picture of how sloppy my nails look when I paint them, then you might truly appreciate how terrible I am with a paint brush. It's HILARIOUS because my husband would probably be able to put a nice even coat on (he's excellent with crafts)... but I think he's sick of making ponies with me.
