Description The television is the far more advanced technology, compared to print/newspaper, in transmitting information. And yet, there is an irony in the results of this technology being put to use -- as the more advanced technology seems to be making many more primitive.

I once read that reading and writing are unnatural acts to our brains, that our human brains are not meant to read or write. This may explain why so many people are so immediately drawn into information shared visually or with time and sound based media like film. It is more natural for us to understand.

It's been interesting learning the theories of filmmakers about what film is and what purpose it serves. There is an aspect of film that fills in a hole in our own experience, whether of a physical encounter, a spiritual awakening, or information outside the scope of our immediate day-to-day lives...

Sorry, not all that well written. Thanks for posting this, it got me to think.

Easier to consume - shifting burden of effort from the consumer onto the medium/device - easier to access for "smaller minds" - adapts to its audience.

The interesting piece is the Internet. It's not nearly as easy to "consume", still some terminal fools get to access it and express themselves.

Vocalizations are much less technologically advanced than print when transmitting information. You could see video and audio as a step back in technology.
