When Nisalvini sank into the ocean, Kamon and her family had very little time to pack - in the rush, she left behind the portraits of her family they had managed to collect over the years. Realizing she no longer had any images of her and her husband upset her greatly, a feeling she voiced to her son.

Miraculously, in the panic of packing to leave Nisalvini, her son thought to grab his parent's wedding portrait and stow it carefully in a scrollcase. The revelation he had saved it for her - she sobbed.
