resubmitting. Deviantart does not work very well after renovations..Nothing special about this shot, I just like the feeling it gaves me.
There was a lot of birds at the end of the pier, and I wanted to shot them also in the cloudy and dramatic sky for better mood, but they were VERY afraid of me and flyed away when I tried to get closer. Too bad I had only 18-55 lens

Great in the thumbnail, but i think it loses something in full view. It doesn't look as mysterious. The pier only becomes a pier and...

Great colors! I like how saturated this pic is. I'm not sure how I feel about the shadows around the outside of the pic. It does give a darker feeling to the pic. At the same time though, I think it could be just as affective w/o it. Just my two cents.

You have such wonderful and expressive colors but everything is pointing dirctly at the center of the composition which makes me wonder if its more about the sky or the water... perhaps that centered belly button set up lets the mood of neither high or low surface a little more. non lo so.

The colors in the sky and reflecting into the water are stunning. I love the varying shades of blues, greens and aquas. They blend together so brilliantly. The contrast is really gorgeous as well. The dock alone is a great contrast of warmer tones against the cooler tones throughout the rest of the photo. The lights in the background are a nice touch, and the soft, fluffy clouds really balance out some of the harsher contrast.
