I've been looking at some facial animation guides recently, and boy have I learned a lot. Apparently, those tiny movements at the mouth and eyes are the things that bring the model to life. The darting movement of the eyes are also really important. I've tried including all of these in this practice, hopefully it shows. Truth be told, I might have over-animated it a little.I find that I usually go for larger and more elaborate movements in the past, so animating tiny movements like this was a different experience. It takes way more time, but the end result is definitely more appealing.

I love the eyes moving/darting, that's a lovely touch! I think this might look even better if it wasn't shaded with black, but something more vibrant.

This is why I don't tend to leave comments concerning the details. I don't know the terminology for the effects and filters.
The overall color (of the entire pony, not just the body) seems darker than it should but I can't specify what or how.
It kind of looks like someone has blown a little bit of coal dust all over her. <=== There! That's as good as I can do.

Holy crap! Is it just me or did you go through the trouble of animating her chest swelling with each breath, perfectly synchronized with subtle mouth movements?!?!
I was so fixated on the eye movements I didn't even notice.

Yea, I did make her chest expand and contract very subtly 
No worries man, it really helps to have another pair of eyes. I spend so much time looking at the work that I lose the ability to tell whether it looks okay, really
