Description This is our entry to the #custom-firearms MODERNIZED WWII ERA WEAPONS Contest.

Check us and the competition out @ [link]

It was made using PMG and PSGP.

THE SI M1A4 'CSR ( Counter Suppressive Rifle)' Model 101 and Model 102 were designed and manufactured by SYPHON INDUSTRIES after purchasing the rights to the Auto Ordnance Thompson M1A1. It was designed mainly for private security companies operating in urban environments. Due to its lowered stock and eye-level sights it is easy to shoot from a car or SUV. The .357 Magnum Round penetrates easier and thus is more effective against targets inside or behind cars.

The CSR' main differences compared to the AO Thompson M1A1 is that it chambers the .357 Magnum Round.

Cosmetic/Ergonomical differences
- Upper Receiver adapted to .57 Magnum Round.
- Upper Receiver Rail system allows Optical attachments
- Lower Receiver adapted to accept SI M4 Magazines
- Ambidextrous fire controles
- Standard Colt Pistol Grip
- Lightweight skeleton stock on 102 models
- Handguard replaced by Rail system allowing attachments
- Folding front sights
- Accepts flash hiders and barrel attachments.

This also demonstrates the power of PSGP when creating custom weapons.

Cheers Logan

Whenever I see a weapon modernization like tommy guns and garands, I feel the need to take the gun, and shove it where the sun don't shine for butchering a classic, this is the exception. Beautiful design! Bravo!

Cool. I've heard loads about the old WWII Thompson SMG. That's a very nice modern adaptation of that gun you have there.

Hmm, personally I'm more of a writer (of fan fiction) than a full-bore artist. Mind if I use a similar concept in one of my stories? It'd be featured as part of a fictional PMC's arsenal, so...same thing you described above.

No problem you can use the Thompson as inspiration. You can even replicate it. Good luck !

Well, thanks! I have written a couple of individual scenes for the story in question, involving this gun. Events involved? Think Resident Evil, but...somewhat different. I figured an updated version of the Thompson M1A1 (like yours, the M1A4) would come in handy in an "isolated biohazard-monster outbreak" scenario.

Wel PSGP is PMG but used in Photoshop. It offers more possibilities and better quality.

The Thompson never was famous for being too controllable, so I'm worried that it wouldn't be as usable as most modern sub machine guns. But I love the idea. Who doesn't want to fight terrorists with a Thompson? Seeing as how the lower receiver can fit STANAG magazines, I take it the magazine release in the same place?

PSGunlabProject In reply to Airborneleaf [2012-07-15 19:22:09 +0000 UTC]

Using a compensator sure did wonders on the Thompson so the barrel can now be fitted with a large array of compensators and flash hiders. And the mag release would be in the same place idd. Only a more ergonomic and modern version of it.

hmm... nice job, I just found out the perfict Tommy armory, the SMG-38 for indoors combat, the SMA-5 for firefights, and the CSR for quick operations, basicly, a PP90M-1, Grease Gun, and an MPK-5, well, I think when it comes to combat, we each have fit a specific criteria with our tommy guns, I'd like to see what makes the winning spot.

Airborneleaf In reply to Bohba13 [2012-07-12 10:04:17 +0000 UTC]

Bitch please, for indoors combat, I think a shotgun, a certain Trench Gun, destroys any chance of competition ha, only kidding.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

PSGunlabProject In reply to Airborneleaf [2012-07-12 15:24:19 +0000 UTC]

The big P with shotguns is their size, even with no stock it can still be to heavy and 2 large for quick draws and short turns in narrow trenches. The 2nd problem is the rate of fire, the shotgun is pump action (in some cases semi or auto.) which delivers far less rounds down range. But still, your design looks really good bro, both of you guys have tallent.

I have seen a ton of failures to modernize the Thompson platform and I must say, this is it,this is the best modern Thompson I have ever seen,It looks awesome and the parts flow and look good together which is one of the hardest things to do.You have also given it a great description where in you gave it a role and a reason to exist.I can stare at them and fins new things that look so cool. Fantastic job guys and really hope this makes it into the project because I would love to see custom builds from you guys as well.
