Drawing like this are excellent to know who is following you because of your art in general, or just because of a simple character.
While I prefer the 'NOT' version everyday, I have to say the expressions are spot-on.

Well, this is why I need to see the movie I guess. I know some of the end spoilers due to cultural osmosis and simply not being able to avoid spoilers, but... From what I do know, even considering the film itself, unless you've already got her guard down and everything beyond hitting is massive betrayal sort of thing, wouldn't she respond to being smacked in the face a bit more... Well... Forcefully?
Again, not see the movie, but at this point, I don't care about being spoiled since I can't avoid it until they finally release a purchasable copy, so do correct me if I'm wrong here.

Nice job! I actually quite like this meme, as it lets you see artists experimenting with new facial expressions. You folks get plenty of oportunity to work on your smiles and happy faces, but I like seeing the full spectrum from an artist. There is an ART to conveying any emotion, and I think you nailed these darker ones pretty well. The shocked face in the fourth panel especially.....GOLD! The mouth on the 5th panel could use some work though. Looks a bit too much like a strand of spaghetti that go caught on her lip (too symmetrical). Great work as a whole! ^_^

It's not always happines. There's nothing wrong with this.
It's a fictional character, remember. Also remember that not all the amazing stories have only happy situations.
