Imagine the earth five hundred years from now. The population has grown to the point where there are no houses. You have to live in stacked housing. Sometimes you are not even on earth, but floating almost, except you are attached to your next door neighbor. The unexpected happens and the earth splits and you see it straight down to the core. Buildings start to buckle under the pressure of too much heat. Holes form through the buildings and you can see the beginnings of a great collapse. I am not looking at this piece of art, but falling to my death, it seems to have a warmth emanating from this piece. There is also a coolness due to the colder colors at the bottom. The orange and blue buildings on the top help elevate this to be a masterful work of art.

I see....a bunch of skyscrapers and such crumbling as a large crevice opens up revealing the magma below the Earth's crust.

I've tried it a couple of times. One time it was in my studio. It's a huge white room. I felt like everything started to vibrate.. kinda like the binding between molecules was shaken apart and I disintegrated through the floor.. pretty intense experience. Generally not a really nice one. Each time I've lost total total awareness of reality, being blasted off the face of the planet..

When synthesizers first came to use in rock and roll, endless hours were spent arguing about whether it was really music or not. The same happened (and is still) about computer generated music. The questions have always seemed a little silly to me. If a person creates something that the world has never seen (heard) before and if that thing has beauty and merit, it is art by definition. This is a wonderul piece from it's original equation to your perect choice of color and shadow. Wonderul work and thank you for sharing it with us. gregory
