The things Rick Strassman reports

Harner (I think) told a story (not in the book) about how he'd brought some blotter with him on one of his jungle excursions and offered to trade his medicine with the local shaman's ayahuasca. The shaman came back the next day and told him that his medicine was "very nice!"

Strassman is pretty accesible BTW although no longer involved in researching DMT

Read an article how ancient Egyptians could easily have brewed an ayahuasca-type drink an would explain a LOT (Hathor et al)(visions of Ezekial in the Bible also)
