Description
Doomsday NordicsThe Nations of Scandinavia were not immune to the cataclysmic events of Doomsday in 1983. Yet despite the chaos that ensued out, they endured it and emerged stronger, becoming among the dominant powers of post-apocalyptic Europe through the Nordic Union.
After a nuclear hit to Copenhagen, Denmark prevailed and rebuilt his country with a constitutional monarchy under its roots. He had also remade his old ties with Greenland and the Faeroe Islands. The Dane became the utmost supplier of the Nordic Union and pretty much Europe as a whole. He is currently supplying goods to his Nordic family and also to other survivors: Estonia, Lithuania and bi-polar Poland.
On the other hand, Norway survived with his King. The Third World War as it was then called, had him conflict with Russia in confusion. In the aftermath of Doomsday, he had not only held together with help from the royal family but rebuilt himself when he joined the other Nordics in the Treaty of Trondheim. When his King died, Norway took more direct control of his country through the late royal's Heir and is currently leading his people to a new age of prosperity.
Iceland suffered the greatest out of the Nordics during the Third War. Though he lived, he is still mending the rough patches and to this day spiteful at America's successors for the US' involvement in Doomsday.
Sweden and Finland lived through Doomsday as well; both wary of the chaos in Europe. Sweden, being the most intact country in the Union, had currently been the only representative in council meetings on the Nordics' behalf while Finland's occupied with settling terms with the former Soviet side of his country.
With their growing power and influence though, they have run into some competition (if rather friendly ones) with the Alpine Confederation to the south and the Celtic Alliance further west. Meanwhile, old and rekindled grievances with a resurgent Prussia had made the issue around bi-polar Poland more problematic. Still, these five Scandinavian Nations still prevailed despite it all. If Doomsday showed them anything worthwhile, it was holding on together as brothers until the end.

Wooo! Pencil crayons and digital painting mesh. I did this mostly in Traditional, so I shall categorize this as Digital? No Traditional. No. Ugh. *flops*

I'v yet to read the entire thing but very little scars me, stupidity maybe but growing up watching zombie movies and WWI & WWII films is good at preventing you from been to badly affect since you get used to it and know what to expect etc. It's good reading however

Reading yes! You write too, right? Seeing that you have plenty of characters and profiles in your page.
So...Indulge me cause I'm quite curious...Who are Sophia's two other sisters? Who's older? I'm guessing they look like her too? As for the mother, I'm guessing its a Belarussian woman? Or Georgia....?

Sophia's the youngest, Tatyana/Siberia is the oldest and Anya/Primorsk is in between them both in terms of age aka the middle child. They all look similar but Tatyana's hair is braided and colour wise is closer to true blonde hair rather then Ivan's platinum blonde, she is also more muscular and athletically built compared to Sophia while Anya is shorter then her sisters, has her hair at neck length and has a shy look to her as she tends to keep to her self and stay out of world affairs.
As for their mother its... Ukraine...
And yes I do write but not a whole lot and nothing that can be classified as a story yet, I'm best at world building and profiles conected to my maps which it take forever to finish since I'm never happy with them.

Sorry that it makes you a little uncomfortable, when I first got into the fandom after seeing Mcds RDNA verse maps I read up on all the character tropes in the manga and anime and some of them mentioned Russia having a hidden darkside or something to that effect eg the whole become one with mother Russia thing.
That along with how twisted Belarus is and how... odd Ukraine acted in a few things made me think they three of them might have something fishy going on which I incorporated into Britannia Rules the Stars along with Sophia and her sisters. I might actually make a great many changes in future but the few people I'v consulted with on it think it makes for an excellent if dark backstory fitting into Russia's descent into madness and insanity over the two Weltkriegs.
As for the maps, yes and no I'v mainly map them for private usage or for sharing with friends but now that I'm taking on and starting more complicated projects I'v shifted to DA so I can share them with others more freely. So far I haven't really started any of them due to numerous revisions eg I'm still trying to settle on a post Second Weltkrieg borders for Russia that satisfy me and appropriate borders for United Social States and Confederate States for after the Great North American War and the shelling of New York by the British Imperial Navy.
Its a fairly dark and gritty setting that I'v envisioned for Britannia Rules the Stars.

Wow. You're pretty hard core and in-depth in this. xD Is it a specialty? Or do you take like, classes or a program gets you so into such Russian historic?
It's rather impressive how you know so much of such alternate theories. Just don't get consumed by alternate history to the point when it sounds like you're wishing for it. xDDD I feel concerned, chap!
So I take it, you dooo revise and administrate some articles in the Alternate History Wiki site?

Well I do have Russian heritage due to been half Russian and half English so I'd consider it something or a speciality backed up by my own hard work and studies. I'm in no danger if been consumed by me alternate histories XD I actually wouldn't want to live in the early BRTS timeline because of all the wars and violence although post 2021 in the timeline its a pretty nice place compaired to how it once was during the 1900's.
As for the AH Wiki nope, I'v read stuff some it but other wise I don't have anything to do with it, I pretty much have kept my work to my self until now when I started writing stuff on DA.

Ooooh. *feeling a song coming on* "Red! The blood of angry men..." -relating to Les Miserables xD
I was gonna ask about the Bolshevik(sp?) revolution then I realized that was like a hundred year old silly question. Does this civil war you say, have a name?

GigoXXIII In reply to psionicbird [2013-06-25 12:36:10 +0000 UTC]
Opps my bad.. I actually meant the Bolshevik one aka The Russian Civil War of 1917–1922 which was a multi-party war in the former Russian Empire fought between the Bolshevik Red Army and the White Army which was a loosely allied coalition of anti-Bolshevik forces.
My mothers family has been here since the 1920's but the main bulk of the family came over here just after world war II to escape the ruin and devastation of the continent at the time and the advancing grip of the Iron Curtain. My great grandmother and her family lived in Germany between the time after the end of the revolution/civil war and the end of world war II. In fact my grandmother was born in a camp, I'm not sure if it was a work camp or one of the death camps but the malntrition she suffered early in life as a result has affected her health for a long time no.
My great great grandfather who was one of the ones to move here in the 1920's was a banker at one point although I'm now sure how important it was but it gave him enough pull to bring the rest of the family over here after WWII had ended.

Whooooa. You're lucky your grandparents - and your ancestors, have this very interesting line.
1920's? Hey the Gatsby era xD
I've learned some parts about Europe around WWII. Though I chose to do an essay on something else entirely, instead of the option with the Russian Revolution. xD Whoops. I guess I found someone who could elaborate on it more. Hey there!

If you ever need or would like information on the Russian Civil War/Russian Revolution I can do my best to fill you in on what I know however I'm not an expert by any means unfortunately and my great uncle who was my go to source for information died around about three years back so I have to use the internet for information now and it can sometimes be hard to find anything remotely accurate sadly.

Ahaha xD Yeah. Never trust Google Translate to do work for you unless absolutely in dire to do so.
I've been doing some direct messaging with a Romanian girl for my ff and it had been swell! All I need is an expert in Hungarian/ Bulgarian and maybe even Turkish. *sigh*
Don't worry about my historical questions. I'll see if I encounter anything, I will look to you. x)
