Description
I am terrified that in less than a week, America is poised to elect a Socialist as the leader of this country. I am afraid that an already Democratic-lead Congress will obtain a filibuster-proof majority. That means at least four years of no checks and balances on Obama, Pelosi or Reid. They are, in my opinion, three of the four horsemen of the Apocalypse. That millions of people are blindly following this atrocity like lemings off of a cliff has me convinced that some sort of Satanic pact is afoot. Either that or a vast majority of Americans are truly dumber than dirt.
Now, don't get me wrong, I'm no fan of Gee Dubyah by any stretch of the imagination. His entire presidency has been one gigantic mis-step from day one. About the only thing I agree with has been his tax cuts which Obama assures us he will not renew. Barry also quarantees a butt-load of additional taxes to come - the least of which is taxing 401K plans so that revenues from hard working people can be redistributed to bums who don't deserve it. But that's "fair" according to the messiah.
Give me a break.

Good work...
I think Obama is not good for America...and neither is Pelosi...or the rest of the democratic party liberals determined to sell out our country to marxism...or socialism...or ?? What is happening to America? I'm heartbroken.

On the surface, it seems like the beginning of the end. I have no doubt that something spiritually evil is afoot.

I feel the same way, and you'd be amazed how many others do as well. Say your prayers if you pray...I am. I want the good old days back...I didn't realize how good they were when they were here... I grew up in the 70s-90s and I miss how much better this country was than it is now. Now we are afraid and thats not good at all.

I'm trying to avoid news coverage all-together. I get too depressed. My fear is that this country has less than a generation left in existance before it is replaced by a communist state.

Well...while I can understand avoiding the news...it can be depressing, but the only tool we have as Americans is our knowledge and our voices. Whether we pay attention or not, what is going on in our government is still happening. Staying informed is something I just can't help. So much is going on, no matter how I try to ignore it I can't. I feel as you do about the communism replacing our democracy...it is sad, scary and in general...just totally unbelievable that there are those in government that are actually going along with all of this. These people in congress have familys...children and grandchildren...I don't understand how they can go along with this and leave this legacy even for their own families. I keep asking myself why so many people still support our current president and what he is doing. My thought is they don't watch the news...don't read the news...don't really have a clue or they'd feel as we do.

Don't you think it is ironic and disgusting that the folks who are making public policy on a single-payer universal healthcare system have voted to exempt themselves from it?

No, not surprised at all, and I think they are evil. These townhall jokes they are having where they plant people in the audience to ask rehearsed questions to, to be replied by Obama rhetoric speeches is a joke. The Democrats are even bussing in Acorn people to show support for the bill to oppose those who are against health reform. They are so underhanded that no, it doesn't surprise me at all that they would exempt themselves from a bill that they themselves wouldn't want, and are trying to convince us we want it, and then shove it down our throats whether we like it or not. Reagan said we are only a few generations away from losing our freedom....I guess he was right. Because once the government gets their paws into our personal lives, it's all over from there. A foot in the door is all they need to take control of the rest of our lives as well. I even hear they are trying to make it hard for us to have public radio....they feel threatened by Fox and others and want to silence them so the people don't have information. Oh, here I go again...ranting. Keep your chin up. There may be some hope yet as so many are truly against this whole thing.

Great Work! I like that it has a Warhol style to it. I am sure he would have disapproved of your message.

Thanks. I based the image off of work I photographed in Athens, GA. A store used similar images of world dictators as the backdrop for their display windows. I wasn't looking for approval or disapproval - just making a statement that in the likelihood that Obama wins the election (I have little doubt that he will) then the United States takes a HUGE leap into Socialism. There are already plans afoot to tax 401k plans and to seize pensions. This is something that mainstream media glossed over in all the hooplah of the past few weeks.
Frankly, I'm scared shitless about it. And please, don't anyone reading this thread get the idea that I'm a fan of McCain. I'm not. I just think that at the moment, he is the lesser of the evils before us.
