Description Just a quickie. Practicing different light sources and what not. As always, comments and critiques are more than welcome

About 7 hours on SAI, all on one layer, no custom brushes or textures used. Excuse the 30 second background.

EDIT: Someone close to me requested a print of this as a birhtday gift, so I decided to do the drawing some justice and fixed it up a bit.

I truly love this one, the colors are absolutely stunning and beautifully matched. I am a bit disturbed by her right hand, however. It looks as if the wrist doesn't have any bones and the hand just sort of.. Dangles? If that makes any sense. Besides from that, great work, truly! I'm loving the details of the book, as another said before, it really felt magical.

Thank you for the wonderful comment, darling! Yes, a couple people now have noted me regarding the right hand. The wrist, in particular. I can tell something's wrong with it but I can't quite put my finger on it. I've noticed the whole hand is a bit too small, given that it is in the foreground, but I guess that might have something to do with the perspective. I haven't used any references so it's all made up on the spot. I'm guessing there's some more anatomical mistakes, but I'll work on improving in that sphere with time Regardless, thank you for the kind comment and critique!

Oh, it's my pleasure. These things happen, I'm sure! If I were to draw a drawing, it'd take me weeks, ha. Not even joking about that...   Your art is truly brilliant!

A very nice piece, the lighting an colouring are impressive to say the least. However I would have to say that the cloak seems to hang a bit oddly, apart from the skin tight torso, one sleeve seems to be affected by an invisible wind that the other parts of the robe seem to be unaffected by. But then again it is magic so it might be okay I guess. Still felt a little odd.
Also props for the detail on the book, it really felt magical.

Ah, I see what you mean. I guess at the time I was thinking that the body served as a shield from the wind, since the right sleeve is behind the girl, but you have a point. Never the less, thank you for the nice comment and useful critique, much appreciated!

My pleasure. I have started to peruse your gallery and everything is so impressive. I have been playing Dungeons and Dragons ever since I could figure out how to do math, I love the high fantasy so very much.
