Simple thoughts of me on how the wind in Sonic games SHOULDN'T be.So, this it what I think Sonic should look like after runing at full speed WITHOUT any face cover, WITH realistic wind.

Actually, Sonic has shown to be able to manipulate the wind, So real wind physics wouldn't effect him. Plus when he boosts, a shield of energy surrounds him, so that would protect against wind also.
