Using Alexa Vega for this OC of mine because she and Addison Timlin look a lot alike in the face (very similar noses and lips especially), and Addison is the actress who played Stormy in the Odd Thomas movie, as some of you may know already! Anyway, about the OC:

Her name is Nova, and she's Stormy's daughter; technically, she's also Odd's, but only through adoption. Like, you know how the books talk about how Stormy was bouncing around between foster homes for a while and got sexually abused by one of her "dads?" That's how I came up with the idea for Nova in the first place. So the basic concept here is that Odd was the one there watching on the day Nova was born and is, therefore, the only father she's ever known. She's called him Daddy ever since she started talking, and after Stormy died, he adopted her so that she wouldn't end up in the system like Stormy did.

Anyway, this was made at bighugelabs.com/photobooth.php using (from top to bottom) a still I got off google of Alexa in some stupid, cheesy-ass made-for-TV-movie that we watched last year in my child development class called Follow the Stars Home, a still of Anton Yelchin in the Odd Thomas movie as he's fighting off bodachs and rushing up to the psycho mall shooter to nail him in the head with a bullet, a picture I found of Addison Timlin looking pretty, and another still from the Odd Thomas movie of Odd and Stormy kissing while he's on his shift at the Grille. (I half-expected Terri to pop up at that part and shoo them apart from each other like, "noooo, none of that while your working, save it for you own time, you two!" I received the first of my very few disappointments with this movie when she didn't, lmao, other than her absence and a few other very minor things, the entire movie was absolute perfection, I mean wow, no words for it, seriously.)

So, anyway, the top picture is supposed to be like of the moment when Nova gets told that Stormy was killed. Like, imagine that she's with Terri in her apartment above the Grille, and maybe Wyatt Porter would call Terri and tell her, and then Terri would pass it on to Nova. So there you go. (There were actually several shots of Alexa actually CRYING, like with tears on her face and stuff from that same movie, but I didn't want the actual grief so much as I wanted the moment of its initial onset, like that primary moment of being in denial, just kind of like, "...What? No, she--she can't be, that can't be right, there's gotta be some mistake. Are they sure that it's actually her and not just someone that looks like her? No, she can't be dead, she can't be!" You know what I mean?)
