I know exactly what it means, because I'm living it right now.
It means there was a point in his life where he was full of hopes and dreams, but things just never came around for him, they don't come fast enough.
Thing is, when that happens, you have to quit riding on the tortoise's back, stand up, and walk past him. ^_^

its increadibly good yes, great concept wonderfuly executed, the balance could have been a little more interesting but great job.
its the turtle that angers me, i try and try to draw them the way there in my head, and you pull it off so wonderfuly... im jealous. your prolly thinking turtles aint no thing, but for me they are.

wonderful illustrative quality, its got alot of innocence and maturity at the same time. the coloring is wonderful and technically it looks really clean and extremely well carried out - theres really not much to criticize, you even got the texture down well which is something most people dont even pay attention to - nice one
