I found this photo a couple of years ago and finally got around to drawing it.

Excellent drawing. The details is great! The likeness is perfect. The only one thing I would have liked to see and this might just be apples and oranges here due to our different styles - I would like to see more deeper black tones. But, and I really mean this, it is a wonderful picture!!

I agree, I've never been able to pull out the dark tones as well as I'd like.

Have you tried the higher B pencils - 6B, 8B, etc.? They work great for me.

I used a 6B on this, although mostly just HB.
