Description
Another quick 'footy' drawing here, again suggested by the great Scamwich.Anyone remember 'Keio Flying Squadron' (for the Sega/Mega CD) or 'Keio Yuugekitai' (for the Sega Saturn)? I doubt many do recall this series of quirky and VERY Japanese-themed shooter/platformer games. They star Rami, a gal that wears a bunnygirl outfit and ears, and Pochi, her dragon 'pet'/friend/steed...oh, and a lot of racoons/tanuki and other weirdness.
Anyway, here's a spin (literally) on one of the intermission splash screens from KFS #1, with Rami and Pochi simply sleeping in a hammock lazily. Of course, I 'moved' the camera to a different, cuter angle. ^^
I tried to do something similar to the game's art style (such as how spindly and big-headed Rami is) but there are just some things I wasn't completely comfortable with (I have to draw a NOSE on a character from the front
Enjoy. ^^

Just got into those series. (-lvl-)
I just wonder how many more obscure stuff are out there anyway.
Rami is sucha blunt girl- XDDD Kinda makes her a funny buttmonkey character, since she gets easily in hilarious (yet kinda unfortunate) situations.

Heh, that she is. Cute and...yeah, 'blunt' is probably the best word for it. ^^

Beautiful drawing, I love how her feet look, they have the natural appearance of those of a girl who never ever wears shoes. Great work!

Heh, sorry to burst your bubble, but Rami's definitely the type that DOES wear shoes: her design is that pseudo-playboy bunny outfit complete with red heels (and has been for two games).

great pic. I heard of KFS, but couldn't play it because I didn't have a Sega CD (the system it was made for). I'd like to play it, but that's impossible now

Thanks. You still might be able to find it though (ebay or such, perhaps) and you can techincally run it via emulation if you own the actual game disc.
There's also probably 'backups' online...somehow...

-- Man, I am still impressed (and jealous) of how well you are with viewers point of view, and how well you can draw hands and feet. (my weak points!)
Very NICE! And love your gallery!
Can't wait to see more of you're work!

Thanks a lot, Jodi/Rove.
Yeah, I just like doing point of view and forced perspective (in addition to trying to hone my drawing skills on appendages like hands and feet)...it's all in practicing, just keep at it. ^^
Hope the rest of my stuff here (and to come) is enjoyed too.

You've done well with this piece, in that you've spread the very goodness that is Rami. And thanks for the extra 411 that you had on the games too.

Thanks Kaho. Yeah, KFS was a obscure game (mostly due to the console it was on) but quite memorable if you ever played it.
And Pochi is consistently cute, no matter how she's posed. ^^

I'd seen an ad for the game several times, and while I wanted to play it, I didn't have a damned Sega CD (or Genesis for that matter!)
But I see that you haven't forgotten her, and neither have I! Keep up the good work Psylisia!
