Description
My OC amazon archer-type character Aello, who still is not necessarily constrainted to a specific background or 'period', has some rather unique ways of doing things that perhaps fit her mindset but not that of the common person...I guess that could be expected of a more 'warrior' upbringing, or one more to the wilds etc...
Or, perhaps it's just Aello being herself and flaunting her quite strong legs and feet yet again (she just loves to show them off apparently).
In this perspective based piece, you can see how Ael stretches and tests the tension of a bowstring. Sitting on the floor and using her limber luscious long legs to flex the wire, it's quite a sight. ^^
Although perhaps I should point out there's another limit apparently being tested here. Perhaps it was merely accidental...or perhaps in fact Aello was doing deliberately to herself as a test...but the positioning of her quiver in the foreground seems to have put a few of her arrows and their feathery fletchings scratching across her bare heel.
I suppose there's a chance someone is actually holding the quiver just like that in order to make this harder on the amazon girl...but I have a feeling he/she would soon feel quite a painful barefoot kick to his/her head in response to the attempted tickle once Aello lets go of the bow.
Anyway, so not only is Ael's gritted teeth expression meant to convey the strain of stretching that bowstring, it's also because she's kinda trying to hold in reacting to the ticklish touches on her sole.
A stretch, I know. (pun intended

A fun way to bring about the perspective in this pic with the general pose coming off well and Aello getting to her exercises in a way that's fun for all. Your level of detail is amazing as ever with even the quills of the feathers on the arrows standing out in a really great way. Proportion works really well with the body looking great and the legs in particular really well drawn. A realisitic piece with a nice playful feel to it, a good bit of work indeed.

Thanks, I really try to go all out on the details, particularly when I do a perspective based image like this so...important elements have better focus.
Glad to hear Aello (and her legs) are looking good. Thanks very much.

Quite a cute picture. I love the concept of how she limbers up, and I also like the look on her face. Aello is definitely synonymous with adorable. Oh, and the quiver bit was cute too.

You need to share where did you learn to draw such detailed soles and bubbly toes.

Ooh nice and odd idea to test that but am not complaining ^^
Looks good and intresting way of testing , hope it doesen't brake or she lets go due to the tickling and hits the person holding the quiver if it whas.
It's a nice piece , yet i find her holding the bow a little too loose , to me it seems she's holding a well tensed up bow with like only her thumbs and point fingers , id say a fully grabbed hand arround it would be firmer and more stable to dosutch a thing. Secondly i do believe a bow can not be stretched that far out , Well this one at least , it looks small and thus has a short string. U woulden't be able to stretch it with legs that far. I can only see this sorta thing happening with a human height like bow and a looser string. Aswel as i think a bow string is very thin and sturdy so it could cut and hurt doing this. But i don't know the character that well soo this might not affect her at all. The grinding teeth aint bad to show her trying to resist the teasing yet i don't realy see that , i can't read it from her face ( hard thing to acomplish i know ) meaby change an eyebrow a little giving her the impression it's tickling and troubeling her instead of a blank stare.
Other then those things i like the pose and the situation , plus the quiver is nicely detailed.

Heh, honestly I had been considering a follow up with that result...the 'sensations' causing Ael to deliberately let go of the bow to punish the possible person off-screen.
Honestly, most of you what you point out...I agree with. There's some suspension of disbelief I suppose in regards to the bow/string length and how the twine might be painful. And yes, the expression is more for the 'stretching' than the teasing unfortunately. I guess perhaps she didn't want to show it yet, maybe.

Incredible perspective art work once again. It's also clever in the way you shared how her intentions are quite more than a simple test of limits. Very well done. ^^
