Description
A lone swimmer breaks the surface of the pool with a couple of strokes.I drew this in Xara X as usual, but I spent much longer than I usually spend on a picture. I split the drawing between several layers seperating the bottom of the pool and the surface reflections etc.
I had photographic reference for drawing the figure but the pool and the room are entirely constructed from imagination... possibly not a good idea...

Really, really good! Reminds of early 19th century French art, and I like that. It is really nice how you inserted her into the picture, it gives me a lot to think about...
Great design!

Congratulations on a fantastic image. I can only imagine the workload this must have been...
One little thing though - the "pool rules" signs - the one that is fruther away is bigger than the closest one (it's smaller in the image, but if you check for proportion, the one that is closest is smaller than two tiles, and the one that is to the end is larger).
but that's just a detail. In the middle of this fantastic vector, it's barely noticeable!

fantastic work, i love the extreme perspective curve. I think it's a bit distracting how you cropped off the bottom of the pool though (where she is swimming from). Still, it looks amazing

Gorgeus perspective! This shows so much room in only so little picture. I can see you found a great way to show water.

Impressive stuff - I don't think many people would even attempt something so hard, let alone pull it off.
I'd have gone with and all-blue composition to give it more visual oomph, but that's just personal taste.

I love the feeling you get when you are the first to swim in an absolutely smooth pool. I guess I wanted to capture this in an image. It was pretty daunting when I started but I took the drawing slowly and worked methodically and it came out ok.
