Having a campfire on your own grave in Halloween. I feel like there is a set up here but I do no know the punch line.

Well, Casper is Wendy's "boo". From the old Harvey Comics [ 4.bp.blogspot.com/_0_ynVlwAg9U… ], to the 1970's cartoon [ www.youtube.com/watch?v=sYcH7Q… ], to the 1998 film [ www.youtube.com/watch?v=VA_FN1… ] (which originally also included an opening by Shana Halligan, who sounds like an older Hilary Duff - who played Wendy in the film - singing Casper's theme [ www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZuI53s… ]), to the video games [ lh3.ggpht.com/-BlajqSHkZ84/T0R… ], and Ardden Entertainment's Casper & the Spectrals comic made for Casper's 60th anniversary in 2009 [ static.comicvine.com/uploads/s… ]....Wendy's been there the longest, never mind that, in their world, ghosts (Casper and his uncles [the Ghostly Trio of Stretch, Stinky, and Fatso], his derby-wearing cousin Spooky, Spooky's air-headed "goil"friend "Poil" [Pearl, in Spook's Bronx accent], and female ghost horse Nightmare), witches (Wendy and her haggish aunties), and demons (Hot Spot and his fiendish family) are immortal, as would be Casper's Scare School classmates (zombie girl Mantha and mummy Ra, as Casper's main friends [I'm still befuddled as to why Wendy couldn't join her "boo" at school, since she's been his longest, most-recognized companion]).

Maybe she was banished to Nimbus III, the Planet of Galactic Peace?

Plus, if we go by the direct overtness in the comics (Wendy basically leaped at him, sucking whatever passes for his ethereal face off, in her original Harvey Comics debut and in the Ardden Entertainment comics' three-issue reboot, she basically shot him a sensual expression - a knowingly brim smile and half-lidded "bedroom eyes" - when they first made introductions [ 40.media.tumblr.com/3aad96dfcf… ]) and the dialog found in both that and the 1998 film with Hilary Duff in the role (to paraphrase what Casper said of Wendy in the film, "Being friends doesn't begin to cover how I feel, for when I'm with you Wendy, I feel ten feet tall", with double meaning clearly implied), their relationship could definitely go beyond friendly and would prove that The Good Little Witch would, indeed, harbor some naughtiness in her, forcing the rating of the franchise to possibly go up beyond its expected all-ages, family demographic. Then again, the source comics were read by families, yet we had the undead boy and the magical girl drinking an equivalent to booze (Witch's Brew), practically all issues involving the two had them dating, and even most issues with Wendy by herself had her "thinking of Casper" (basically daydreaming) a lot of the time, whether the place was appropriate or not (at Witching School, where her teacher and peers wanted her to be bad, such thoughts were frowned upon and even at home with her haggish aunts, Wendy's distractedness kept her from making the Witch's Brew the way her crone elders wanted it - as a concoction to make all witches wicked - and she wound up often staying in her bathtub for extended periods due to her private thoughts).

So, they banished her to Paradise City, on Nimbus III, where she would been fighting that three-breasted cat dancer (if you saw Star Trek V The Final Frontier, you'll get it.)

It could explain how Wendy never went to Scare School.
