Another grim reaper or in German "Der Gevatter".

I started on a black piece of construction paper (Tonpapier) and planned to do a pure ink piece with washes of white ink.

But this paper is incredible absorbent and it sucked the white ink into it faster than you can look leaving only light shades of grey.

I tried several white inks and white pens but the paper sucked all of them in.

So I had to change the plan and used white correction fluid which worked quite fine.

Then I switched to a white hard pastel stick as I couldn't achieve really light values with ink alone.

Then i finished the piece with black brush pens where needed and a little red touch up in the hour glass.
