TrekBBS November 2014 FanArt ChallengeOnce again, last-minute inspiration (and last-minute execution!) - the challenge was to present a Star Trek vessel or object in a different livery than usual. Since I'm most familiar with the mapping and materials of my own Crossbow-class, I figured it was my best choice for emulating Air Force One.
Now I just have to make sure I enter it ...

UPDATE: 12/5/2014 - I am pleased and humbled to announce that Starfleet One did, indeed, get entered, and won the November TrekBBS FanArt forum challenge, against wonderful competition - now the hard part: creating a challenge for December!

I really like the pain job. However I don't like the name. Starfleet One is good for a Shuttlecraft call sign but not a ship. Ships used by heads of state almost always have proper names.Β en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Categoryβ¦

Congrats on winning the challenge!
And I think a presidential ship is a great idea. Though wouldn't the UPF president use the biggest starship, like the Sovereign class, similar to how the US president uses a 747?
(I'm sure the US president would use an Airbus A380 if he could, but I'm sure there are probably rules about saying with a US company like Boeing.)

Technically, since the Crossbow-class is slightly longer and considerably bulkier than the Constitution, and it's from the OS era, it should qualify
