Well after numerous attempts, I think I finally found nailed Fidget in my style! So here he is with a cup of hot cocoa.
And yeah, as you could tell from my previous submission, Fidget is easily my favorite character in the Great Mouse Detective. I love his design, I love his voice, I love his expressions. Heβs just so cute, heβs my new f/o. <3

aww, what a nice, peaceful picture of a cute character that deserves to feel peaceful once in a while. Great Mouse Detective holds such a special place in my heart! that and Oliver & Company are on the same level for me. they're underrated films that people think are bad or generally "meh", but i have always loved them and got so much enjoyment and mystique from them as a kid. i watched them like once when i was really little and barely remembered them until much later, so they were always just these vague memories that i would often have weird dreams about. i was always kind of obsessed with them growing up, until i could watch them again as an adult xD
i admit, Fidget jumpscared me on my first viewing xD but i grew to like him when i saw that he wasn't nearly as scary as i first thought, and i felt sorry for the way he was treated. Basil was always my favourite, he was just so clever and charming and funny, and now that i think about it, he reminds me of a certain purple guy i love

Oh no don't apologize, I really enjoyed reading this! : D Especially because I know that I've heard from others that Fidget scared them when they were younger which amuses me very much. I didn't own the movie for a while and first saw it in Kindergarten and I don't really remember him scaring me all that much, but I DID remember his voice very well. XD
But yes, Fidget is adorable and he definitely didn't deserve to be treated that way. He can be threatening but he's still comical in his own charming way, lol. I love him a lot and I'm glad that a comic later confirmed that he redeemed himself and became good friends with Olivia. : D

it was only the first jumpscare that got me, then again ive always been very easy to scare that way... i'm a wimp. Fidget himself isn't scary, so i can see how that would amuse you xDΒ Β

Hey it's okay, I'm easy to scare too so I understand! XD But yeah, it amuses me also because I think he's more adorable than anything, but by the same way, I can see why some people were afraid of him back then, lol.

Yeah definitely! The few other cute bat characters I can think of are Batty Koda and Bartok. : D
