It never occurred to you that'd you fall in love. With this boy in particular actually. Of course you had your fair share of crushes of that one really good looking person you bumped into in the grocery store and that other guy who appeared in that movie you forgot the name of. But never had you fallen this hard.

You felt the grass underneath you slowly staining your pants as the two of you gazed up at the wide expanse of the starry sky. He was next to you but your eyes would not move in his direction.

"What do do think is out there?" Tooru asked, leaning his head on your shoulder lazily, pointing up. You felt your heart jump as your eyes darted in the other direction. You wanted to playfully push him off like you always but your body wouldn't move.

"M-maybe your soulmate. Maybe you'll meet a nice alien," a weak chuckle escaped your mouth. What in earth were you saying!? The churning feeling in your stomach paired with your heavy and rapid heartbeat was taking it's toll on you. Tooru not noticing was a miracle.

The boy laughed with you and finally sat up again. In the corner of your eye you saw him turn to you. As if moving on it's own you turned to face him. The warm feeling crawled up your neck and jaw into your cheeks and ears. Thank god it was dark out, otherwise it might have been painfully obvious how worked up you've gotten at this point.

Why did you like him anyways? He wasn't anything more than a friend to you until recently. Well, to you he was more than a friend. He was always there for you. He taught you so much. He was the kind of person you wanted to spend your life with. Wait, scratch that. He was the person you wanted to spend your life with. Maybe that's why.

Tooru grinned from ear to ear.

"I'd like to believe my soul mate is here on earth. Preferably, next to me right now,"
