Description
I decided I wanted a copy of the painting seen in an episode of Red Dwarf of Rimmer on the toilet, not being proficient at the time in acrylics or oils, I plumped for what I could use, pastels.Related content

Ah, I spelt it wrong "garde a l'eau" was shouted from windows just before the contents of the chamber pot was slung out of them... watch out for the water...

GREAT point in the movie, great tribute.
I love that you've done it in pastel, instead of paint. I almost like your version better!

Yes indeedy! I copied it from the tv. The differences are, the original Rimmer has flat hair, and this is done in pastels as I wasn't experienced enough of acrylics or oils at that point.

Why thank you! It was based on the episode where Kryten painted him, only his hair was wrong in that picture, so I did a more accurate one

Yeah, I remember that episode. That was awesome ( especially when Kryten tosses Rimmer the birdie ).

I love that episode. I think you did well, although I'd love to see it done in oils. Thinking about it, the original oil
painting prop must be lying around somewhere. I wonder who has it.

This is great. ^_^
As for the original, it was auctioned off a few months ago to a very lucky (and rich) fan.

Possibly Chris Barrie, but it could be Rob Grant or Doug Naylor. Who knows?
Thanks!

Looking at it now, it is flawed, but to be fair I did copy the picture off the episodes of Red Dwarf I had on video. From a portable 14" TV. In pastel. Of a pillock. Um. What was I thinking?!
