This comic is pretty pants but I need it to exist so that later stuff that happens will make sense. So that this comic makes more sense I shall post an excerpt of the Halloween tat - please scroll down a bit! (I had to delete the full thing for various reasons, sorry guys).
Try not to hate Victor too much... it's not his fault he's socially inept. So, just in case you guys haven't come across this before... I haven't personally, not putting myself in these sorts of situations. But I've heard a few friends complaining that they tried to simply strike up a conversation with someone only to be told 'Sorry, I'm not gay/straight'. Which is not a great thing to say to someone who was merely trying to make conversation and not trying to get into your pants... of course, to be fair to Victor, this is Fairyland and people will try to get into your pants after striking up a conversation... but it would be better to just let them ask you and say no. Something I feel like I must point out is that Will is annoyed that Victor has implied that he wants to get into his pants just because he said hi, not because he said he was gay.
So, now that we've actually done a past thing that I needed to do before I could carry on with the current thing... see, this here happens some time after the whole Tyrian meets Will's family thing, say 2-3 months later?

So basically, again, since there is no Halloween tat available to explain this, I will give you a brief explanation -
At a Halloween party that Contessa threw, Lucinda and the others met Victor who is a very nervous vampire, 17, who hasn't bitten anyone except his mother yet, thanks to her keeping him away from basically everybody and teaching him that humans will stake him as soon as look at him. (Lydia is human, but she lost her husband to a mob. See fav.me/d6o09u1 also)
I feel like the reason for Victor's assumptions regarding Will, which he understands, would be better explained by a bit of the tat, which I shall post here -
So Contessa asks Johann and the others to go and talk to him. Lucinda and Erlina are helping to talk to him, and they are waiting for Johann to signal them to come over.
----
“That's our cue, I believe,” Erlina wandered down the table and Lucinda followed.
“Johann, there you are,” Lucinda said. Erlina slipped around to right side while Lucinda remained to his left, effectively stopping Victor from leaving – as he was in a little corner created by the edge of the table and the walls, he would have had to flatten himself against the wall to get past. “You disappeared before, Contessa was looking for you. Hello again.” She addressed the last sentence to Victor, who looked as if we was seriously considering vaulting over the corner of the table.
“Victor, I'd like you to meet some friends of mine,” Johann introduced them. “This is Erlina, a fairy who's been helping Rosie with her potions and things.” Erlina gave him a little curtsey. “And this is Lucinda, she, er... she works... I mean, she takes potions lessons from Rosie.” Lucinda gave him a little wave again.
“Yes, um, we met before... Grandmother introduced us,” he replied timidly. “Hello again. I thought maybe you were related to Johann, but it was silly of me.”
“Oh, well we do look a bit alike, I suppose.” Lucinda smiled her best smile. “Don't worry about it.” He smiled nervously back.
“I don't normally see anyone but my family, so I thought you must be a cousin of ours,” he explained, looking down at his drink, which he was holding in front of him like a talisman.
“Yes, about that,” Johann coughed. He hesitated. After all, telling someone they need to get out and bite people was probably awkward enough in front of other vampires, but right in front of the people you were supposed to get out and bite was going to be mortifying. Johann was clearly trying to think of a way to put it delicately. He was spared the bother.
“Hello, Victor, is it? Move aside there, Lucy.” Tyrian tapped Lucinda on the shoulder and waved a hand to indicate she should move across to let him and Will into their little semi-circle. She moved across and the two of them squeezed in next to the table. This left everyone pretty cramped up, so they all shuffled backwards a bit to allow themselves more room. “Grandma Connie said we should have a word. Also, this here is my friend Will.” Will gave the boy a nod. “He works for me in Fairyland,” he said. “Do you know many humans, Victor?” Lucinda did a mental face palm. Of course, why try to put anything delicately when a fairy was around to put it as bluntly as a boulder?
“No...” Victor practically whispered. “Mother keeps me away from humans. She says... they're a bad influence.”
“She's a human isn't she?” Tyrian raised an eyebrow.
“She says that's how she knows,” Victor answered.
“Well, we know plenty of humans and they're all lovely,” he said, ruffling Lucinda's hair. She stopped herself from scowling, as it wouldn't help the situation. “You need to get out and meet some. You can't keep living off your mother, it's bad for you both.” There was an awkward silence.
“Please don't imply we only make friends with humans for blood, Tyrian,” Johann groaned.
“Well, no, we don't,” Tyrian replied, “but if we didn't make friends with humans and other species we'd be horribly lonely.”
“Talking to other species is hard...” Victor glanced up at the girls and quickly looked back at his drink again. “And asking for blood, w-well... I just couldn't... I'm sure I'd only annoy people.”
“Oh don't be silly.” Tyrian gave Lucinda a slap on the back. “Here, bite Lucy, she won't mind.” Everyone stared at Tyrian with a mix of horror, disbelief and a smattering of rage.
“Oh yes I will!” she replied hotly. “I ought to give you such a smack-”
“There, you see?” He looked pleased with himself. “I said something incredibly inappropriate and all that happened is she threatened to hit me, which she hasn't actually done. And that's not all you can get away with-” He tapped Will on the shoulder. “Will-”
“I see where this is going-” he said quietly, trying to keep a straight face.
“Kiss me,” Tyrian commanded.
“Oka- wait.” Will paused in lifting his drink back to his lips. “Maybe I didn't see where this was going.”
“Well?” Tyrian waited for an answer. Will looked from his drink to his king's face and back again. He looked behind him at the crowded room.
“No-one from work is here, right?” he asked.
“I only brought you,” Tyrian reassured him, “I'm not keeping Louis in my pocket or something. Come on, I'm trying to make a point. Kiss me.” he repeated. Will shrugged and put his drink down on the corner of the table.
“Okay then...” he made a 'bring it on' sort of gesture. “Come at me bro.” Tyrian stared at him in polite incomprehension. “It's from the internet,” Will explained.
“Oh, that thing again.” Tyrian still didn't move. Will tutted.
“It's fine,” he clarified.
“Oh. Excellent then.” Tyrian leaned forward and gave him a quick smooch. There was a stunned silence and Victor looked like he might faint. There was a sudden dip in general chatter and Lucinda looked around to see several couples openly staring at them. Will picked his drink back up and downed the contents, a little red-faced at the attention.
“Would you look at that, no-one is trying to lynch me, despite their annoying, disapproving stares.” Tyrian shrugged. “Now think what you could achieve if you were a sensible person and approached people in an acceptable manner.” He took a sip from his own drink, utterly nonplussed at his goggling relatives. One of them was Lydia, who had chosen this particular moment to come and find her son;
“Victor!” she shouted. “Get over here this minute! I've been looking everywhere for you!” She shoved her way past Tyrian and grabbed Victor's hand, pulling him out of the corner. He put up little resistance and still had an expression like a stunned gazelle. She gave Tyrian a death glare as she passed, which he returned. As Lucinda had moved away to let Lydia past, Erlina side stepped over next to Tyrian. She stamped on his foot.
“If you ever volunteer my Lucinda for something like that again-” she warned him, twisting her heel and pressing down as hard as she could, “-there will be a major political incident.” Tyrian winced a little but he smiled and gently pushed her away with his free hand;
“Come on Lina, I was only joking.”
“You know when Grandma Connie said we should talk to him before the entertainment got here, I didn't think she meant you,” Johann said, rolling his eyes. “I thought we were making some progress before you turned up. I thought he could talk to the girls and see that humans aren't so scary.”
“So?” Tyrian replied. “I think I demonstrated that pretty well. If he's scared of making mistakes with people he won't get anywhere. I was just trying to show him that it's okay.”
“By being a complete moron?” Johann scoffed. “I'm not sure your little demonstration will help him with talking to people at all, let alone biting them-” Tyrian held his hand theatrically up to one ear;
“Oh? What's that? I'm sorry, I can't hear you over your restricted diet.” he said sarcastically.
-------------
So yeah that's the important bit. It was as a result of this little fiasco that Victor decided to come and live in Fairyland, convinced that Tyrian was the best role model ever and that he must indeed get out of the house and away from his mother's influence if he was ever to grow up.
And here we are.
