spoilers for age of calamity because i THREW myself into the game over the weekend

i know there are people out there like "uhhggghhh time travel messes up the timeline again!!!!!!"

but i literally couldnt care less, i wanted this so bad
sidon appeared in front of mipha at that last moment and i LOST it

i fucking SHRIEKED, i was SENT into the STRATOSPHERE upon seeing him

there was one thing i wanted so bad from this game and it was to see sidon and mipha fighting together

and tbh overall i ADORE the game, the only fault im giving it is astor
i havent finished the story yet (im at fort hateno but im stuck there sadfg) so i cant say if he plays a better, more significant role
but at this point, i dont think he can do anything that will make me think he was necessary
his role could have so easily been relegated to sooga, the role of a puppeteer bringing back calamity ganon, like the yiga clan was ALREADY wanting to do that

like it wasnt even confirmed he was the fortune teller that prophesized ganons return, so its just

bruh i just think hes pointless lol
the story would have worked just fine without him, because it did before in botw
maybe i'll change my mind, but its unlikely at this point

other than that i am in love with the story, the character interactions, the mowing down of enemy droves, the beautiful cutscenes and stages, UGH just everything else is a masterpiece of an experience for me

tldr: astor is useless but sidon and mipha getting to see each other again is CHEFS KISS everything i ever wanted
