Selenium Rabbit is Usagi when she is possessed by Galaxia. Galaxia takes her hostage after killing Mamoru. Usagi, in her fragile state of mind, is easily possessed by a shard of Chaos. Her own mind is forced to the background and Selenium Rabbit is born. However, because Usagi is so strong, Selenium Rabbit has to have bracelets on both her ankles and wrists.

Selenium Rabbit works in the shadows as Galaxia's right-hand. Although Galaxia doesn't know who she is, she noticed her starseed and uses Selenium Rabbit to scope out potential starseeds and do reconnaissance. The only reason Galaxia didn't kill Usagi for her starseed is because her seed dimmed enough when Mamoru died to appear to be a normal (though unusually strong) one. Since she never battles the senshi directly, she isn't recognized.

Usagi is eventually saved before the other senshi are killed and made evil. She either doesn't remember her time as Selenium Rabbit or won't talk about it. What she did as the enemy is too much for her to think about.

Selenium Rabbit is named for selenium, an element which is required for living as Chaos is but is toxic in large amounts--the word is also reminiscent of Usagi's princess title. The rabbit is because it's Usagi. The original sailor of the planet Togu (grind in Japanese, which is a sound rabbits make) was killed and her starseed was in the Garden until Galaxia's defeat.

Personality-wise, Selenium Rabbit is everything flawed about Usagi times ten. She is an arrogant, competitive, rude woman with a haughty laugh. She cycles through fanatical ambition (Usagi's dedication to the things that she loves) and obscene laziness (Usagi's, well, laziness). She's ridiculously clumsy except when in battle, in which case her reflexes rival Sailor Uranus'.

Selenium Rabbit is also insanely loyal to Galaxia, partly out of the dark energy within her and partly because she's so desperately lonely without her soulmate and friends that she latches onto the only person that she can. The other nearby animamates alternatively fear her (as Galaxia's chosen favorite with a temper, it's not wise to upset her) and ridicule her when they can get away with it intact, so she has as little to do with them as possible. Selenium Rabbit even develops something of a crush on the dark queen, who reciprocates to twist Usagi further to her side and because she herself is lonely. Whether or not this affection helps or hinders the senshi when they go to rescue Usagi and when Usagi goes to battle Galaxia is up for grabs. :0

Selenium Rabbit's symbols are a stylized rabbit head and a crossed-out moon that loosely resembles a rabbit's head. The pink parts of her uniform (except her collar) appear or disappear at Selenium Rabbit's will. When it is very hot, she goes around in just her leotard.
