Yeah I know I am like 3ish chapters late, but meh life is so much cooler than making fun of Naruto ^_^Anyway I don't think she has ever landed a hit on anyone or done anything deserving to have a fanbase. I have given up on her and pretty much NaruHina.

This is a question I have wondered for a long time, mainly with all the people ripping on Sakura. Sad thing is people praise a minor character like Hinata yet rip on a character like Sakura who has much more development and importance to the story.

Lol I agree with you and I am a hinata fan.
I have been one since the beinging when she wasn't very popular.
I was hoping she would get more character development because I see a lot of potential in her story.
But after Shippuden came out the only thing that developed was her body.
Thus her fan base really expanded along with her cup size lol.
So the answer is simple, she grew boobs.
But I wish she could have some more charater development.
I like her character design as the color choices were defiantly chosen to fit her personality, which shows attention to detail on the creators part.
And I will say that her extra "assets" are keeping the old fans interested and brining in new ones.
But it doesn't help her when it comes to making her a crucial part of the story.
For her to be so popular she should have more going on.
Even though she did have some nice spotlight moments recently it isn't enough if you ask me.
Right now although she is my favorite I feel she is like a glorified extra in some ways.

They're basically the same thing. You must be thinking of 'awesome' in terms of how much butt they've kicked.

Well in terms of this manga and what it basically is, action, "kicking butt" is what makes you awesome in it or at least having a fight where you at least hit a character and do some damage. Maybe if this was one of those love story mangas then I guess she could fall under the category of cool or an important sub-character, but she falls far being a good character in Naruto.

I still have some old pics of her when I loved her, but now I feel the same way, I even given up on NaruHina, bah I'm just tired of Naruto, its just doesn't do it for me anymore.

Ditto. If you look at my gallery it use to be Hinata/Naruto madness. The manga just sucks now. I don't read it anymore I just look at the spoilers posted on wednesday to see if it got any better, but alas it has not.
One thing though I got to thank is that these bad chapters made me go read the manga from my childhood that still is going on today that is still epic... Guyver! Sucks though that there are rarely new issues posted, but that is what makes it good, so a plus and negative.
