Well, December is edging very near, so I finally got my butt in gear to work on my christmas card for this year. Just the sketch so far. Soon to be painted.You might notice a similarity to "Harbinger." It's because the initial sketch for this piece was one of the discarded sketches for "Harbinger." The client didn't like the winged lizard, and wanted her to be facing more forward so that the wing wasn't in complete profile. He also wanted the hair changed to be more full and less stylized. I still really liked this initial version and so I wanted to make a painting of it someday anyway, even if it is still very similar.

i thought i saw something that looked like something else... i mean her pose kind of. i like this though, don't know what the clinet had against the hair and the lizard! lizard looks cool and the hair is... wow!!! if i had hair like that... hehe. can't wait to see it painted!

damn! i am soooo behind... i currently have... 25 messages. i'm very veyr sorry!!! i will look at it! as a matter of fact i will do it now. i was just currently going through ppls sketches to get by... well i started of at 32 and have cut it down to 25 just now so ya... desperatley trying to get all of my stuff in order but lacking time... i will look at it!!! and if u don't mind i showed my art teacher (who freaks me out because she stares off into space when she is talking to the class) the such is the way of the fairies book, she really liked it! (and then started saying how i should also use light and shadow and blah blah blah!!! i soooo want to strangle her) oh! and i wanted to ask, did u do any covers for any books? because just last weekend i was in barnes and nobles and i could have sworn that the cover was very much like ur style... and i was trying to find where it said who the art was by but couldn't... damn!!! (maybe i should have looked inside the book... now that i think of it...)

Well, it's not very christmas-ey, but it looks very good. Watch out for the chest, though. I find the breast a bit too much to the side and the ribcage stands a out a lot, too

The originals -- I wanted to hold onto the whole set for the time being. If you send me an email at stephlaw@shadowscapes.com I will let you know when I release them for sale. The prices would range from $1000-$1500, just so you know.
