Phew this gallery will not quit.
Props to your website. Must say, I didn't expect too see "Chasing A Dream" because of all of the people in the picture! But the level of precision and beauty is as high as I have come to expect from your Deviantart submissions. Great work.

That's cute how the birds are sitting on the deer's antler's like they're branches! For some reason this deer with nature following it where it goes reminds me of the Great Forest Spirit if Studio Ghibli's film Princess Mononoke.Β Beautiful work!

I've been a fan of your work for years ever since I first saw it on Elfwood. This piece is so wonderfully detailed; I love the structure and shapes of the ground as well as the soft light of the setting. Keep up the great work!

Beautiful work. All of it, the colours, the subject, the pure dreaminess of it all. You seem to have bent the temperamental world of water-colour to your nefarious ends! Wow.

puimun In reply to Roseprincess1 [2014-03-12 16:38:09 +0000 UTC]
I guess that's just the result of working in lots of layers and building things up gradually?

ahh i see.. i think thats my issue then i try to get it done all at once.. but i think i need to learn to get the colors i want from lots of washes rather than just one or two strong ones.. that must be what it is.Β

thats very true.. im a lot better now than i was four years ago.. i just got my art degree.. to go with my polisci/forensics.. im not offically a forensic artist.. i can do faces just fine... its getting watercolors to do what i want that drives me to distraction.. tho not as bad as oils tho..OMG those are hard!!Β

KeltanaOwisp In reply to Roseprincess1 [2014-03-08 05:25:15 +0000 UTC]
oils can be difficult. I found the best thing to do with oils is just to lay it on and sculpt the paint. focusing more on the shadows and lights of the subject matter then actually trying to paint what I see precisely. It was the only way I ever got oils to work. I like acrylic and multiple layers.
