Description Another Hetalia PH-related comic. This one is a simple, sketchy parody (sort of) of Lone Target episode 3.

Lone Target / Manhunt
Lone Target, released internationally as Manhunt, is an American television series produced by Discovery Studios. The show follows ex-Navy SEAL Joel Lambert as he attempts to evade mock manhunts organized by various law enforcement and military units around the world.

Episode 3: Ex-Navy SEAL Joel Lambert faces off against the Philippine Army Scout Rangers, with just 48 hours to escape the dense jungle. Over a distance of 25 kilometers, and with two trucks as their only assets, the Scout Rangers prove they are among the world’s best at jungle tracking as they utilize their unique skill set to stay hot on Joel’s trail. But the harsh heat and humidity of the Philippine jungle--and an unfortunately timed typhoon--push Joel, the hunter unit and crew to the brink. (Description from Wikipedia)

I think you can watch it on youtube, if ever you're interested.

Some notes:

*Sungka is a traditional Fiipino board game.

*The Samar expedition of 1901
During the Philippine-American war, Major Littleton Waller of the American Marines led a cross-island expedition of Samar (an island in central Philippines) in an attempt to establish a chain of outposts from the island's coast to coast. It was part of his proposed counterinsurgency strategy. Samar's interior was an uninhabitable jungle so crossing it would be near impossible. This fact, combined with the pressing monsoon season=bad weather, and very limited food and medicine supplies, the expedition ended in disaster.  10 marines died and some of the Filipino porters accompanying the expedition rebelled which intensified the growing, mostly baseless, suspicions among the Americans and the Filipinos (The said rebellion ultimately lead to the execution of 11 other Filipino porters without trial, which in turn became the reason for Waller's court-martial) . One of the survivors committed suicide and another became insane.

Random babble:
It seems I've been drawing Hetalia related comics that involve US and our OC Philippines only even though we don't ship them romantically. I blame this interest in US-Phil relations on a certain book XD.

And I'm sorry for any grammatical or spelling errors and inaccuracies you might find in this comic. Do tell me where I made the blunders.
