This was near the summer palace! I think I walked from the palace to this area. Loads of gorgeous hutongs. Where else did you go in china??

I think I just went to a few different smaller villages and shanghai.  I didn't get to go to hongkong though.  Everywhere is beautiful!! I didn't know that China literally has scenery EVERYWHERE. where did you go? ?

China has ridiculously contrasting scenery. I was blown away by that. Massive modern cities, tiny towns stuck in time, mountain ranges, beautiful lush mountains, and desert!

I started in shanghai, went north central to xi'an, then north west to the desert in dunhuang, then to beijing and pingyao. Someday I will do a more southern China visit and hit Hong Kong and Tibet. Maybe when I see southeast asia I could jam that in who knows.

It was unreal! I'm always skeptical of tourist attractions but the hutongs of beijing were amazing.
