I don't take credit for any of the pictures or quotes on here. Those are all (c) Valve. But I put this together anyway and thought I'd post it. I've gotten a lot of arguments about whether or not people agree with me here. So feel free to continue.Related content

I belive You got lawful evil and chaotic nutral backward. LE is a social alignment, sitting back and healing the team while letting them do all the real work, Demoman just makes things go BOOM! The rest seem to be in the right place though...

This is exactly what I see except that I'd switch Demo and Medic. Medic is a crazy, freakin insane doctor and scientific, while Demo sounds sometimes like a Drunkyard who controls only 60% of his actions. That's just my opinion tho'.

I actually kinda dig the idea of going by weapon. I think my biggest thought is that in all reality, the killing style of Snipes and Spy are very similar. You don't notice either until you're dead. He isn't much for "direct shoot-outs" so for his sneakyness I would put that as evil. The rest I mostly agree with. It's interesting to see how their personalities differ so much from the weapons.
My rationale for the Soldier being Chaotic Evil is that he's insane and really seems to enjoy his fantasy world. His pure egotism and specific hatred for everyone places him as Chaotic for me. Demo's just a drunk who wants to blow crap up.

Feel free to argue with me! I love internet debates like this. I've actually noticed a contradiction in there that I didn't get rid of because I thought that that would be "cheating". If DA had spoiler mark-up I'd put it down but oh, well...

Whose moral code posits the Spy as a greater force of evil than the Scout?
Also, how is the Demoman Lawful?
Plus, no-one could ever know Pyro's alignment without them having a more visible personality, but I'd say burning everyone is more Chaotic than, say, the Medic
...arguing about alignments is fun
Having thought about it for eight minutes with the comment box open, I've come to the conclusion that the only way to differentiate the mercs Morally is to adopt a stance that (as mercenaries) they are all on roughly equal footing, and that the tiebreaker is how honourable their weapon of choice is according to the old standards of chivalry and fairplay
I would also do Entropy based on the weapons of choice (i.e. Sniper Rifle & Backstab are organised one-hit kills while Flamethrower and Rocket Launcher work on Splash Damage or flailing flames around in order to ignite opposition)
Thus, I present my counter-alignment-chart, wherein positions are considered relative to others:
Lawful Good: The Sniper (Good for engaging in direct shoot-outs)
Neutral Good: The Heavy (Good for going toe-to-toe in simple bullet-trading)
Chaotic Good: The Soldier (Good for lacking the intelligence for tricks or traps)
Lawful Neutral: The Engineer (Neutral for fighting indirectly)
True Neutral: The Scout (Neutral for engaging in what could be considered "cowardly" tactics)
Chaotic Neutral: The Pyro (Neutral for using what could be considered a "cheap" weapon)
Lawful Evil: The Spy (Evil for using disguises and backstabbing, never engaging in shoot-outs)
Neutral Evil: The Medic (Evil for not fighting his own battles, hiding behind the Heavy or whoever)
Chaotic Evil: The Demoman (Evil for laying traps, basically. He could be far away when he kills you)
Well, that was a fun way to spend what was probably more than thirty minutes
I wish I had the Art to actually make these charts, I've got a couple filled out mentally (Left 4 Dead, Arkham Asylum) that I haven't been able to put down

Very nice. I'd personally switch the Demoman and the Medic's places, and mmaaayyybe the Heavy and Sniper's as well. And afterwards, possibly switch the Medic and the Soldier... man, I'd change a lot. Well never mind me, it's still great fun. Good job.

It all made sense to me. I kinda made this to create a dialogue amongst fans to discuss what positions they thought each character should be. Also there were nine slots and nine characters and I thought that was pretty fucking awesome. Oh, and the Administrator is all of them combined. She's meta.

I have most of my hours as Pyro, so he's probably my favorite to play as. I'm probably the worst Spy ever T_T He's so hard to be!
