Description

This was taken at The Drumheller Hoodoo Trail on the May long-weekend, 2010.

The view is outstanding. Even though I am spectacularly afraid of heights, I simply had to climb up a little higher to capture the layering of the rock on the hills here. Not to mention that beautiful sky.
New editing process makes me want to cry - but the RAW files come out nicer, I think.

Thank you. I would love to live there as well - though, I don't know how much I would like to live near the scorpions, black widows and other terrifying little creatures of the night hehe.

pullingcandy In reply to icantwrite [2010-05-31 18:24:48 +0000 UTC]

No sir not really - the real pain was the tourists though, I had no tripod up here, and they kept bumping IN to me!

Thank you. It really is nice in the summer, sadly we went in spring *sighs*
I'll have to make the trek back there to really be able to get around when the weather permits

The landscape is enough to make me recommend a visit! Everywhere you go, it's different. This is one end of the spectrum, and the mountains are another. And then there's the North...
If time allows, you really should!

a friend of mine took a trip to lake louise and came back with the most amazing pix! the color of the water was amazingly surreal...

Oh Lake Louise and Maligne Lake are just simply gorgeous.
I'm headed there this year myself, and possibly to Spirit Isle (I do realize this makes no sense to you lol but I'm saying it anyway)
I believe those areas to be the most beautiful and serene places on the planet, with or without 100 million tourists a year.

i'd love to get up there someday if i can ever get any real time off and the money to do it... i love my blood and gore but i started out with landscapes...

pullingcandy In reply to Shaine-Phillips [2010-05-27 14:34:53 +0000 UTC]

There's nothing wrong with landscapes, in my opinion.
I always wanted to be a landscape/nature photographer, yet somehow I ended up elbow deep in fake blood - not that there is anything wrong with THAT either muahah
