Description
Today
my skin is draped
across my frame
in just the right away,
resisting the urge to erode
around the edges-
I wear my coating with
the secret promise
of someone else's
acceptance.

The winds of Spring
are out of place,
impatiently awaiting their turn
and from the plains
of my interior
the glow of July
appears to rest.

I can allow
every nerve in this once
resonant shell
to bond with the tissue
of the sky,
every layer of cerulean
becomes a deeper
part of
who I am.
