I just HAD to draw them. The book and the series just...ate my heart without chewing! How could they do that?! I will never get tired of asking this question. I haven't cry so much over the bookmovie since LOTR's Boromir death scene. In a way my mind can find lots of reasons and explanations but my heart can't take it. The first time i'd watched the series and then read the 1st book i walked like a sad ghost for a week or so pondering over this story, how could little details turn into something like that.
I suppose their poses are VERY wrong
well, that's all i have to say
PS - of course, i used refs for their faces

well, i suppose there is quite a handful of such women at first, I was uncertain about Dany but seeing her character developing through the books is a very interesting and inspiring in some way. At some point, I was almost glad that she lost Drogo and was pushed to be Khaleesi - all her perils allowed her to become a strong and fierce character.

OMG! I only started watching GoT a few weeks ago and now I'm reading the Dany/Drogo loves scenes in the book. I feel like a sad ghost too. Such a beautiful and tragic love story! I am trying to find out if he'll ever return, but the future looks bleak. Now I'm reading Clash of Kings and it is making me even sadder. She has a dream where they're riding dragons together. They could have ruled the world. I hope you draw more.

Assssh, sorry, I meant Boromir, of course!) I'm just like their father ><
Thanks! I know - it felt so surreal! Why? Why EVERYONE had to be miserable by the end of the first book?! I kept reading the rest feeling like there was some huge mistake and everything was not what it seemed. I keep hoping it's all a dream))

Eh, there's nothing wrong with their poses. It looks like she's sitting on his forearm and he's cupping her butt, which is physically possible.

I think I just cried again after I saw this. They were PERFECT for each other, and I can't imagine Daeni being with someone else. I fervently hope with my whole heart that there will be some kind of magic that will bring Khal Drogo back to life after Daenerys takes back the Iron Throne. Your work is AMAZING. Thank you for this. <3

thank you for your kind words! I hope for such an outcome for them too, but seeing how the plot progresses I highly doubt that Khal's come back will the part of it...sadly.

It is such a great book! Never read something like that and never met a man like Khal Drogo. I really do love this couple and I am so flashed with them both. I'm going to finnish the first book soon (maybe tomorrow xD) but I still know what will happen... but I have to read it on my own. *sigh* You did a very great job with this picture and Dany and Khal are looking so awesome together! I really love it!

I absolutely adored this couple. They were both, in their own way, strong and admirable, and despite the initial skewed dynamics of Daenerys being practically forced into the marriage, they end up making a very beautiful, balanced couple. However, as much as I like (lust after) Drogo, I understand how his death was necessary to harden Daeni's heart, help her grow into true independence, and turn her into a leader powerful enough to threaten the western kingdoms.
Now to the art. It is amazing. The water is soft and brilliant, the characters -look- like the characters, so great use of ref, and the colours in general are splendid. Even the unseen Drogo arm that is a little bit "wrong" does not bother me -at-all-. I am very picky about my favourites, but this one definitely goes there.

thank you for the comment! yes, it's pretty obvious WHY the author decided to kill Drogo...but try telling that your heart while reading the book! I still felt very sad!
I'm very glad you like the work!I put all my feelings about them into this work! ^^
