Description For Loki's Redemption project . Wow, I'm all about Loki these days. Thank God for commissions that keep my work somehow varied
Inspiration: Gustav Klimt, Disney Rescuers OST "Tomorrow is another day" and my trip to Paris
Refs: only for faces
Symbolism: wow, I actually made some research about flower symbolism and decided to use them in my work. So, purple hyacinths are used to ask for forgiveness and white tulips on the background are the symbol of forgiveness itself. Also, out of all possible variants I chose Frigga to be the second character. She's positioned in a way to support Loki and also she's helping him take off his armor (i guess i took that from Knocking on heaven's door - "mama, put my guns in the ground") providing solace and a sense of tranquility that Loki needs (that is not to say desperately yearns for )

I was inspired to write a Loki-Frigga fanfic by this print, which I bought from you and expect any time now. It's set when Loki returns to Asgard after the events of The Avengers, but I hope it embodies the same feelings as your wonderful painting.

I am a novelist by profession, and sometimes that can be very hard work. But these stories come to me so easily it's like eating ice cream. Art likes yours is incredible inspiration.

Thanks very much, from one artist to another! Perhaps next year, when I have a bit more money, I may commission you for a few drawings based on the Norse mythological characters in my forthcoming urban fantasy from Tor books, MIST (written before the first THOR movie came out). Maybe I could even arrange to buy rights to use them in advertising, if we could work something out. My Loki is foxlike, with red hair and green eyes outlined with red, Mist is a tall blond valkyrie with strong features, typically Norse, and Dainn is a tall, lean elf with long black hair. (Yes, written before Hiddleston) Mine are based more on myth, but it's sure been lots of fun. Working on the second book now, but am terribly distracted by Hiddles-Loki.

ow, that sounds quite interesting!i'll be my pleasure to draw for you ^_^ i ALWAYS picture Loki with red hair. it's classy and somehow more fitting for a trickster, i even painted Marvel's Loki hair red a couple of times without thinking. I can perfectly understand that global Hiddles distraction - struggling with this problem myself despite all the work that needs to be done!

This is a wonderful piece of art. I'm stunned!
The way you symbolized Loki's state of mind and heart has a depth I've not seen in a long time.
I've been admiring this picture for 30 minutes straight to let the whole symbolism sink in... I'm amazed.
No it goes beyond that...Your understanding of Loki's emotions is honestly admirable.
