i do this too. everytime i draw a face, i start with a square, but i use only lines and no sircles in it. the lines should be positions of a "real" face, less manga style or something like that. i think, the sircle wouln'd be so bad, because somtimes the face didn't look straight...then i got a 3/4 view...don't like it...

yes you can, if you can write you can definitely draw it just requares skill that is developed in time.
Also circles aren't drawn with one stroke, you just go around and around with your pencil until it's perfect. (well the lvl over 9000 artist with well rested arms can make a circle in one or two strokes but that's another story.

there is no coloring tutorial = = the only tip I can give you- is that magic wand is your best friend and having screenshots for references is cool and ok.
