He remembered elders telling stories, but he didn't remember what they were. He remembered a den full of kits like them and mothers like his. He remembered a den full of herbs, dens full of warriors and dens full of apprentices, cats older than them and younger than the warriors. He remembered a den all by itself. They had been explorers. He remembered the places, and the barest of the customs.
He remembered StarClan and he remembered wanting to be an apprentice. Those were some of the first things he learned, but he was still so young when they were taken that there were some things that were completely a mystery to him. He didn't think something like StarClan could possibly really exist after this, though. If they did, wouldn't they have helped? Wouldn't they have sent help?
